On the 11 hectares of vineyards, we produce varieties such as Castelão, Touriga Nacional, Cabernet Sauvignon, Tinta Roriz, Syrah and Alicante Bouschet. The oldest vineyards have more than 45 years and the annual production does not exceed 4 tons per hectare guaranteeing the quality and intensity of aroma in the wines produced by Quinta dos Filipes. All these grapes are vinified in our cellar, coordinated by the enologist Eng. Ricardo Santos.
The grapes used in Quinta do Filipes wines are produced under the organic production standards.
Quinta dos Filipes produces a variety of homemade jams from the vegetables and fruit of its orchards, one of its specialties being zucchini and coconut compote, impossible to remain indifferent.
Every year, Quinta dos Filipes produces about 300 liters of olive oil from its olive trees, also in organic production. Our olive oil gives flavor, aroma and color to the typical Ribatejo dishes cooked by us and is also suitable for direct consumption. You can taste our olive oil together with homemade fresh bread in our wine tastings.
Multi-flower honey from our bees, the most precious helpers at our organic farming, is available for purchase at our Winery. We have available the delicious homemade honey buns to the delight of our guests.
